Ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante per caso, uscendo da un vicino parcheggio per auto. Erano le 1430 e già immaginavamo che ci saremmo dovuti accontentare di un piatto al volo. Il personale è stato cortesissimo e ci ha fatto accomodare, su richiesta, in uno dei pochi tavolini esterni. Cibo eccezionale: bruschette, pappardelle e cinghiale da favola. Altamente consigliato!

Simply the best pasta and Tiramisu I have ever had in my 38 year life.. you must ask for the toasted bruscetts with tomato and you will fall in love with the taste of the olive oil.

This restaurant was recommended to my wife and I by the concierge of our hotel and it did not disappoint. From the freindly and quaint atmosphere, to the service by the owner, Claudio, and his staff. Top notch dining experience. If you visit Florence, be sure to stop by!

“Best dinner during a week in Italy”

The kind of place you could easily justify going to twice on one trip. The gnocchi with pomodoro was so good we ordered it again for the table to share.
Also, note that this restaurant is on the list twice, spelled incorrectly the second time with two "t's" so in fact it is probably number one when the combined results are tabulated.

Il Profeta was recommended by the staff at our hotel and it didn't disappoint. It is a small, comfortable restaurant with a highly professional, yet friendly and interactive wait staff. The food was some of the best we had during our two weeks in Italy - wonderful house-made pastas and excellent flavors in all dishes. The tiramisu was so wonderful that our son ate two servings (our waiter said he was "a real cowboy" - very endearing)! We highly recommend this restaurant
